Storytelling is central to my creative work. My first job fresh out of undergrad was in newspaper journalism. While the daily 1 a.m. deadlines and miniscule paycheck grew tiresome, those four years in the newsroom truly impacted my process. To me everything has a story whether it is a cup of coffee, a cocktail dress — or a cockatoo. What really excites me is fusing language and image into a compelling narrative.

My background includes more than ten years in graphic design and publishing; I offer particular experience in branding, editorial design and copy editing. I hold a Master of Fine Arts degree in graphic design from the Savannah College of Art and Design and a Bachelor’s Degree in journalism from the University of Georgia. Currently I work as a designer at Interbrand New York, a global branding consultancy. I also teach thirteen ever-inspiring students at the Shillington School of Design.
